As you all know, everyone is anxiously waiting for the Diwali celebration in the Hindu Temple on Sunday Nov 9th 2014 evening. More details will be coming soon from our Balvihar admin.

To those who are new, Balvihar celebrates this Diwali festival in a grand manner every year. Kids are more than welcome to get all decked up for this in their best Indian attire.

Usually parents drop off their kids in the Mahatma Gandhi center or temple basement (as per BV Team advise). Class photos are taken along with the respective teachers and youth assistants. After this, kids are taken to the main hall in the temple. Pooja is done by the priest and the kids together.

Please make sure to send a battery operated tea light candle and the diya that the kids made during the Donate a Diya project. Make sure kids are well fed and well rested. Also please make sure they are well trained to tie their pajamas (if they are wearing one) for them to use the restrooms. We want all the kids to be happy and have fun together.

Once after the pooja, the kids are dispersed classwise and parents can take charge of their kids from the Mahatma Gandhi center to enjoy dinner and fireworks.
